- When you navigate to the Editor and select a new unpublished workflow, you will be within the Transcription step.
- Before you begin making updates to the transcribed text from the video you uploaded, we highly suggest editing the video before editing the transcription.
- When you select edit video, you will be able to utilize four editing tools.
- The voiceover tool allows you to re-record audio on the video.
- Rotate video is for changing the orientation of the video between portrait and landscape view.
- The cut tool allows you to make multiple edits on a video to cut out sections you don’t want in the published version
- Text-to-speech is utilized when you don’t have audio on the video or you want the audio spoken by an AI voice.
- When you save after using any of these editing tools, AI Stephanie will analyze the transcription again which is why we suggest you make these edits first before editing the transcription.
- Check out our other how-to articles on editing basics to learn more about these tools.
- We're ready to move on to reviewing our transcription. First, AI Stephanie is about 90 to 95% accurate when transcribing your audio, and she even gives you key terms on the right-hand side that show you the common words used in your video.
- Now, to play your video back and make updates as you listen, all you have to do is click the play button on your video, which will bring us through the transcription line by line.
- You can go through all of the lines with the video playing, or you can skip through and look for particular phrases or abbreviations, proper nouns, and industry-related terms that would need to be updated.
- When you find a word that you want to update, select the line where the edit is needed and then type it in.
- If you want to make sure that is updated everywhere in this workflow, highlight the entire word and select the replace button here.
- Before we move forward to the segmentation step, review the transcription to make sure that there aren't any big blocks of text longer than about 2 lines.
- You can add in the line break by selecting enter or the return key so that the closed caption on the published workflow doesn't take up too much of the video screen.
- Select the save button so that changes are saved and then select next.
